A piece of music in the shape of a “Human Spine”. Each sound effect, field recording, and audio clip is uniquely tied to a major spinal fusion surgery I had at the age of 15. There are 24 different sounds, each representing a different vertebrae, trailing down the natural flow of the spine. While composing this piece, it was both cleansing and therapeutic, as this surgery was extremely difficult both in the operating room, and the healing there after. While my fusion played a very significant role in my life, it also became my number one challenge. I have learned how to grow and meditate in ways that “alleviate” the symptoms of chronic pain.
